The Belgian company Laika, renowned for creating projects where theatre and gastronomy go hand in hand, invites audiences to take part in a unique experience.

400 Grammes is an artistic event built around a concept as simple as it is ingenious: each participant brings 400 grams of raw ingredients (no meat or fish), which serve as their ticket to the meal. Laika gathers all the collected ingredients, cooks them, and transforms their flavours, aromas and colours into a festive three-course menu, shared around long communal tables. Joining this banquet, served in the heart of Teatro de Palha, is the poetic universe of Turak Théâtre, where everyday objects come to life among pots, ingredients and kitchen utensils.

400 Grammes is a culinary celebration, a moment of joyful hospitality, a table full of strangers who - who knows? - may become friends.

Meal Access Rules

To attend this performance, each participant is required to deliver 400g of ingredients at Teatro de Palha on July 15th and 16th, during the times mentioned below.

It is also necessary to make a pre-booking by email (info@lavraromar.pt), with the date of the performance you wish to attend, your name, contact details and the number of tickets you would like to reserve.

After delivering the ingredients, you may purchase a discounted ticket for €15 for adults and €5 for children up to 11 years old. These discounted tickets are only available at Teatro de Palha, after the food has been delivered.

If you are unable to deliver 400g of ingredients on these days at Teatro de Palha, you may purchase a full-price ticket online. This ticket already includes the food contribution (bought by the organization) and costs €20 for adults and €10 for children. No need for pre-reservation by email with these tickets.
