An itinerant performance of dance, music and spoken word that immerses in the village of Cercal through the stories that its inhabitants tell us. A skein of voices and bodies that intertwine themselves from the encounter between those who arrive from outside and those who belong here. Four dance, music and theatre artists join their practices with adults, teenagers and children to create a common ritual.

Cercal is a village of storytellers. The recipes for pataniscas, the work in the mines, the philharmonic band and the amanhadores are like keys to the village’s interior. Based on the reality we hear, told by moments and groups of people throughout the village, we create a fiction. Nós de Voz is a movement for several different times. We invoke Cercal's distant and recent past as a gateway to the future we desire: the return to the land by the hand of a boy, the contemporary dance that gives shape to the feeling of the cante alentejano, the gazpacho recipe that remembers the Arabic legacy of this territory, the work of miners who return the stones to its mountain. A mattock that creates music, a guitar that digs into the earth. We are the body of the voices that live here.
