Nails, wood, paint, tools and everyday gestures that seem unimportant, revisited and transformed into a fantastic do-it-yourself workshop.
As if following an assembly manual from a parallel universe, the characters / artisans work in a place where everyone has a role. They use precise gestures, the result of hours and hours of practice. Here, the physical efforts are carried out to the limit, which sometimes leads to an absurd result.
Its normality is, in our eyes, absurd. As the materials and scenographic elements are successively transformed, real paintings emerge. We witness the complicated, illogical and absurd creation of a work of art.
In this universe of the absurd and the strange, do-it-yourself is not dealt with in its raw form. It is repeated, ritualised, coordinated and disconnected from its original function, with the aim of bringing it closer to dance, to circus, to music and the visual arts. With this, his third creation, Claudio Stellato continues in his investigation of body and material.
