IRMÃOS MAKOSSA

The Makossa Brothers are two friends, researchers and enthusiasts of music produced in Africa between the 60s and 80s. In their sets they take a trip through Africa via the different musical styles that were created there and have influenced the world musically, as well as showing the sounds that have penetrated African culture! Based on Fela Kuti's Afrobeat and Manu Dibango's Makossa, this sound trip goes through Afrofunk, Chimurenga, Afropop, Soukous, Semba and so on!
