Festa da Aldeia da Bordeira

EscolaNova joins the “Festa da Aldeia da Bordeira” with a special programme for all ages to celebrate popular culture, artistic creation and community spirit.

The iconic Teatro de Robertos — a centuries-old tradition of Portuguese puppet theatre recognised by UNESCO — arrives with João Costa and the Mãozorra company. Three lively performances — The Hunter, The Bullfight and The Barber — promise to delight children and adults alike with humour, rhythm and unforgettable characters.

Running alongside the workshop, “Chocolate Salami Factory” led by Madalena Victorino and her team, invites families to prepare a collective snack that will travel through the village streets on decorated trays.

An afternoon to laugh, create, explore and celebrate together!

The Hunter

To round off the Bordeira Village Festival, participants are invited to prepare a travelling afternoon snack to be shared with everyone at the event. In this creative workshop, little and big chefs will make chocolate salami and decorate trays with colourful, cut-out paper designs.

While the salami chills in the fridge, the trays will be turned into decorative pieces. Once ready, the salami will be sliced and the trays will make their way through the village streets, spreading flavour and joy.

This workshop is a fun opportunity for families with children to come together and learn how to make simple treats while celebrating the tradition of decorated trays.
