Caminhadas com Arte (Walks with Art) consists of a proposal of 20 different walks (11 in Aljezur and 9 in Monchique). Each path and each conversation will be unique, with a particular theme that will be led by a different speaker. The speaker will take a group of 15 people to be submerged into his/her universe and into the stunning landscape of the Western Algarve. During the walk, which includes a picnic along the way, there will be time for us to listen and to have memorable conversations about disciplines as diverse as Literature, Philosophy, Journalism, Photography, Film, Dance, Agriculture, Biology, Architecture and Food Science, among others.
A moment to celebrate nature and to share experiences.
In collaboration with Rota Vicentina.

Note:
Each person must, when booking their ticket, choose the speaker/path they want to take, taking into account the particularities of each one (theme, difficulty level, distance, language).

Alix Sarrouy art and culture sociologist

BIOGRAPHY
Alix Didier Sarrouy is a musician, performer and sociologist of art and culture. He seeks to explore and understand the interactions between human beings, and also between them and the objects that surround them, be they constructed or natural. He believes in the arts as a collective process and not just as a singular result.

THEME
We shall be human bodies walking through the nature of Monchique. We will let the five senses take care of the relationships between each other and with the mountains that welcome us on their slopes. The paths will consist of moments of encounter and of escape. From the soles of bare feet feeling the floor, to sky gazing with our chins facing upwards, we will be guided by stories, by reading (con)texts, by crossed looks. A chance to smell with your eyes, read with your ears and listen with your fingertips.
