CONCERT
Originating from Jaipur in Rajasthan, the three brothers Amrat Hussain, Teepu Khan and Sanjav Khan, form a rare ensemble: their musical heritage from seven-generations being passed on to them from an early age by their father and grandfathers, a prestigious family of gypsy Indian musicians. The Trio’s on-stage collaboration offers us a powerful, fluid and highly virtuoso musical language, full of elegance and subtlety. Their repertoire allows us to discover the classical Sufi music of northern India. An invitation that will take us on a great musical journey without leaving the Algarve landscape.

MUSIC LAB
A laboratory where an ancestral art that has been transmitted from parents to children, from generation to generation, opens up a sharing territory where local musicians from Aljezur and Monchique will have the chance to discover life paths of northern Indian Sufi culture. An open door to meet through a borderless language: music. This lab is a sharing day where music will be played, taught and the idea of its transmission will be thought about.

THE KHAN – THE HISTORY OF AN INDIAN FAMILY OF MUSICIANS
These three brothers received the music from the elders, but this time they are the ones passing the mystical melodies and the warm rythms of the tablas to the younger ones. A performance dedicated to the children and where there will be singing, music playing and story telling about this secular family.
