450 three-metre-long wooden beams, ten workers and one master builder. The wooden creature, held together by the interlocking wooden blocks, and Johann Le Guillerm begin a slow, mutating march, creating a playful space that changes according to the landscape. Solid and fragile, LA TRANSUMANTE constructs and deconstructs itself in the same movement. Its form is not predetermined; it is the result of the web that forms it. Shaken by contradictory forces, it transforms itself.
LA TRANSUMANTE is the result of an artistic investigation called 'Attraction' that Johann Le Guillerm has been developing since 2001. The artist seeks to act on the world's disorder to create a poetic order.
Attraction' is the original cartography of a planet without a place, a project manifesto for us to take more responsibility for our environment and to think about it for ourselves. A position. To disturb our certainties, resist prefabricated thinking, and open up new alternatives. A protocol for the way we see things. The world is what we see and what is invisible to us. To understand it fully, we must consider the many different ways of looking at it. Principles: Start from scratch, observe, experiment, try and create.
A work in rhizome, made up of accumulations, hybridisations, and mutations, constantly moving between different artistic fields. The search takes many forms: a planet in sight, a research centre on the minimum point, observation instruments, graphic poems, sculptures, a culinary experiment, a stage performance...
