Six acrobats try to strike a balance. Together they throw their bodies, their legs, their arms, hand in hand, in search of curious shapes that make instability dance. Each time further away, to try and start over. Each time stronger, this strange game of challenging obstacles to turn them into moments of victory and the realisation of aerial balance. The acrobat is a person who adapts himself, neither winning or losing. He continues playing on his own and with others in the evolution of a fluid movement, with flexibility, transforming energy that repeats itself, in a cyclical movement, as in the mineral or vegetable world.
Reoccurring images of the transformation of bodies give us the illusion of stability in the air. These ‘rare birds’, therefore, are acrobats who believe in the art of action, made of concrete attempts, decisions, of the presence of this search for air and not merely for the realisation of the sensational and the spectacular.
