“What’s on the mind of long-distant drivers across all those miles of travelling?”

What happens to these men along those journeys? Who are these travellers and how do they mitigate their loneliness? If they had to stop being on the road, would they bare? And their families - is there a place for them in these stories?

Based on real life testimonials of long-distant drivers, this performance approaches the poetic possibilities of these lives of constant displacement, miles of solitude, distance from the family, fleeting nights, knowledge of road maps, road restaurants and motels. This performance is like a travellers’ manual, where we listen in Portuguese to these “road philosophers”, on board of a truck TIR.
